Who We Are
Kevin and Ambrea started the development company 11 years ago after they purchased a duplex and house at auction, both fixer-uppers in which they managed the renovation of the properties. Throughout the years they have purchased, renovated and redeveloped numerous single-family homes, duplexes and multi-family dwellings. Their newest project includes the Continental Baking Company Building, better known as the former Wonder Bread Building. Awarded both federal and state historic tax credits, the building is the 10th to receive that honor in the City of Toledo. The historic building will be converted into 25 loft apartments with 4 commercial spaces.
Ambrea is a creative Christian mother of 4 who wears multiple hats which include being a real estate developer, a property manager, owner of ARK Restoration & Construction and motivational speaker. Ambrea recently “Stepped Out” of her corporate career as a pharmaceutical sales business manager to pursue her passion of restoring old architecture. Her educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree graduating from The University of Toledo where she played NCAA volleyball. Ambrea decided to dedicate her skill set fulltime to the growth and well-being of the companies she owns with her husband Kevin. She is obsessed with designing and creating something special from “undesirable properties” in underserved communities — to restore and beautify buildings.
Ambrea strives to make the world a better place in which she found it. To encourage others to do the same based on the natural gifts they were given. Ambrea’s mission is to improve the community she invests in by way of development, construction and motivation. We all have a role to play in creating an environment in which we thrive by living our BEST SELVES.
Kevin is the most hard-working, creative, innovative, results-driven, visionary you will ever meet. He is continuously thinking outside the box which has served him well over the 12 years he’s been operating his companies. Kevin’s background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance, he worked Corporate Finance for ProMedica, a major healthcare institution in Northwest Ohio. He helped to manage the finances for close to 10 years at the company, while there Kevin was responsible for tracking trends, analyzing and problem-solving analytics based on data, and perform extensive research on missing data to ensure everything was accounted for. This experience, expertise and skill set has served him well while managing the day to day activities of ARK and has enhanced his ability to oversee multiple projects.
Kevin has been pursuing his real estate passion full-time for the past 7 years, investing in run down properties for the betterment of the community. He oversees and manages the restoration of buildings that have been forgotten about, paying close attention to quality and detail. His hope is to have a positive impact and improve every community ARK operates in that will last for years and years to come.
